Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Vekto Interactive Ltd (“Vekto”, “we”, “us”), company number 00000000, registered in England and Wales at address.

They cover our website and SOVEREIGN (the “game”). By using either, you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use them.

Who can play

SOVEREIGN is intended for players aged 16 and over. If you’re under 18, check with a parent or guardian before you buy anything.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Give us accurate details, and keep your email address up to date so we can reach you.
  • One person, one account, unless we say otherwise.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play SOVEREIGN for your own entertainment. You don’t own the game, and we keep all rights we haven’t expressly given you here.

Fair play

Don’t do any of the following, because they spoil the game for everyone else:

  • cheating, exploiting bugs, using bots, modified clients or automation
  • buying, selling or trading accounts, items or in-game currency outside the game
  • harassing, threatening or abusing other players, or posting illegal or hateful content
  • trying to break, overload or reverse engineer the game or our systems
  • pretending to be us, our staff or another player

If you break these rules we may warn you, remove content, suspend you or close your account, depending on how serious it is.

Purchases and virtual items

  • In-app purchases are sold and processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • In-game currency and items have no real-world value, can’t be exchanged for money, and aren’t your property. They’re a licence to use them inside the game.
  • Digital content is delivered immediately, so once you’ve received it your right to change your mind under UK consumer law no longer applies. Refunds are otherwise handled by the store.
  • We may change prices, offers and the contents of the shop.
  • If your account is closed for breaking these terms, unused items and currency are lost.

Changes to the game

SOVEREIGN is a live game: we’ll add, change and remove features, run events and rebalance things. We can also suspend or end the game entirely. If we plan to shut it down, we’ll give you reasonable notice in the game and stop selling in-game currency before we do.

Anything you submit

If you send us feedback, bug reports or ideas, we can use them without owing you anything. Anything you post in the game, such as an in-game name or chat messages, must follow the fair play rules above, and you give us permission to display it inside the game.

Our intellectual property

The game, its artwork, code, music, the SOVEREIGN name and the Vekto name and logo belong to us. You may make videos, streams and screenshots of the game, including monetised ones, as long as you don’t claim it’s your own work or suggest we endorse you.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the game with reasonable care and skill, but it’s a game: we can’t promise it will always be available, bug free or free of other players behaving badly.

We don’t exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to exclude. Beyond that, we aren’t liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have spent in the game in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account (see our deletion page). We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if we have to for legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property and liability, continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the game changes or the law does. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and if the change matters we’ll tell you in the game. Carrying on playing after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, email hello@vekto.co.uk first. We’d rather fix it than argue about it.
